Tony Piccuta Finishes First Week of Jury Trial in Motorcycle Accident Case
This week lawyer Tony Piccuta of Scottsdale Injury Lawyers completed the first week of a jury trial in a contested liability motorcycle accident case. The case involves a motorcycle versus car accident that resulted in the firm’s client sustaining an open compound fracture of her left tibia and fibula. Piccuta is seeking damages for his client including pain, suffering and loss of normal living.
In the first two days of trial, a jury was selected and both sides gave opening statements. Piccuta then began the client’s case in chief. Six witnesses took the stand during the first week. Those witnesses included, the driver of a vehicle involved in the accident, a passenger of the vehicle, the investigating police officer that arrived on the scene, the client’s orthopedic surgeon and two witnesses who saw the crash.
The trial will continue into next week and a decision is expected before the end of next week. The case is being defended by Sentry Insurance. The firm is expecting a seven figure verdict.
