Piccuta Travels to Indiana for Legal Conference
Earlier this month, Tony Piccuta of Scottsdale Injury Lawyers, LLC, traveled to Michigan City, Indiana to attend a legal conference. The two-day conference included attorneys licensed to practice in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada and Texas. The two-day conference covered a broad range of topics important to trial lawyers and civil litigators. Some of the most influential Plaintiffs’ law firms were represented at the conference.
The current cases that the participating attorneys were working on were discussed as well as high level strategy for those cases. Presentations included the topics of cloud storage and on-line security for law firms, e-discovery, consumer class actions, qualified immunity, tort reform, juror bias and selecting the right class action Plaintiff. There were several break out sessions where attorneys were able to present their cases and focus group those cases to other attorneys.
Piccuta attended the conference and was able to focus group two cases he is currently working on. Piccuta was able to focus group a case wherein his client was left paralyzed due to a wrongful shooting by a private citizen. Piccuta was also able to focus group a case that is currently set for trial involving claims of police excessive force.
Piccuta regularly attends legal conferences and continuing education for trial lawyers. Piccuta is a contributing member to the Arizona Association of Justice, Consumer Attorneys of California, National Police Accountability Project and other legal organizations.
